Here’s a chance for those who are participating in this year’s mileage contest, whether you have already collected bonuses, or have yet to start, to earn some extra credit before the end on September 15.

1. Folsom – there’s a plaque on the wall of a building on Sutter street between Wool and Decatur streets that says “Folsom Pony Express Terminus”. Get a picture of the plaque (a selfie would be great) for one ticket.

2. Shingle Springs – There’s a monument on the side of Durock road, south of 50 at the Cameron Park exit, for the Du Roc House and its relationship to the Pony Express. You should be able to get your bike and the monument in the picture together for another ticket.

3. Genoa Nevada – Just south of the Genoa Courthouse Museum there’s a monument in the lawn for the Pony Express. You can easily get your bike and the monument in the same picture for two tickets.

But wait! There’s more! Get all three of these and you’ll earn an additional ticket! For the mathematically challenged that’s a total of five extra tickets!

So get going, get as many tickets as you can for the raffle being held at the RCB Xmas party. Make sure to send Fred your pictures of your bonuses and your ending odometer on or before September 15. Any received after the 15^th will not be counted. Remember, YOU NEED NOT BE PRESENT TO WIN!
