The rally will be held at the Grant County Fairgrounds, in the historic western town of John Day, Oregon, nestled in the scenic Strawberry Mountains. Join us for a weekend of terrific riding, seminars, food and fellowship. John Day, Oregon is located near the Junction of US Hwy 395 and US Hwy 26. Enjoy the West’s best riding: gold and cattle country, refreshing mountain passes, painted hills, river canyons, and wide open desert. All this in one day’s riding! Visit the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument or any of four different museums. Begin planning your trip now! Oregon is for Riders! Come to John Day and see what we mean!
Along with all the great things that you love about the Chief Joseph Rally, there are some changes going into effect for 2022. Online registration will open April 1st, 2022. We have pushed this out a bit from our usual in order to allow us to keep current with changing guidelines from Oregon State and the Grant County Health Department. CJR is largely an outdoor event but in order to comply with the indoor seating limits for our dinners in the Pavilion, we need to cap our attendance this year. Covid considerations for CJR 2022:
Your registration will include Friday & Saturday dinners, complimentary morning coffee & tea and afternoon lemonade. Green grass camping, hot showers. Door Prizes. Vendors. Rider Awards. Seminars. Beer Garden. Guided rides (paved and GS routes). Maps for self-guided rides (paved and GS routes). Motorcycle movies each evening. Live entertainment Friday evening.
Also available: T-shirts & hats. Rider Skill classes offered by Team Oregon. Cowboy Ride. Demo rides provided by Cascade Moto. Breakfast will be available for purchase in the pavilion Friday & Saturday mornings.
