Cloverdale News - Kabins Going Fast

May 30, 2012 - Cloverdale may still be four months away, but word from the Sonoma County KOA is that Kabins are going fast. It might be wise to consider reserving now.

KOA Kabins offer an alternative to sleeping on the ground in a tent - Kabins come in a variety of sizes, but generally there are three beds (Queen plus bunks), a small desk and an electrical outlet in a smallish 8x12 ft space. The beds have mattresses but you will still need a sleeping bag (or your own sheets).

You don't know about Cloverdale? It's RCB's signature event and this year it's the Oct 5-7 weekend. Most riders arrive on Friday taking a number of circuitous routes. Saturday is "Ride Anywhere" day and Sunday is "Return Home" day. In between, RCB provides Friday and Saturday dinner, Saturday and Sunday breakfast and coffee, and our October meeting* is conducted Saturday evening at the roaring campfire.

Attendees are responsible for their own camping fees, and there will be a small co-payment required to offset food expenses. Other details will be published as we get closer to the event - For now, just be advised that Kabins are already limited.

Make your reservations by phone at 800-368-4558! The KOA has special rates for RCB members ($12/person or 10% Kabin discount) and these rates are only available by phone.

* Note: There is no Susie's breakfast meeting on 10/6. We'll all be in Cloverdale.
